The Ferrari “LaFerrari” represents Ferrari’s most ambitious project to date that crosses the technological frontiers of a road car, managing to elevate the technical capacity of the brand at the engineering level in both GT and Formula 1. It boasts of having achieved the most extreme performance ever achieved in a Ferrari production car and stands out for the most advanced and innovative technical solutions that will reach the rest of the Ferrari range in the future. With a limited production of 499 units, LaFerrari continues the tradition of manufacturing cars of unmatched performance for a small number of customers with a very high level of demand.
The Ferrari “LaFerrari” is the first car with hybrid technology in the history of Maranello. The 6262cc V12 engine offers 800hp while the electric motor adds 120kW (163hp) for more than 960hp. Thanks to the enormous technological leap that the HY-KERS system brings, the LaFerrari is the highest performance and most efficient vehicle ever built in the history of Ferrari. Also thanks to the extensive experience that the Ferrari Formula 1 team has with the KERS systems applied in the development of road cars, the HY-KERS guarantees maximum integration between the V12 and the electric motor, the perfect combination of extreme performance with maximum efficiency. The high torque available at low revs of the electric motor enables engineers to optimize internal combustion engine performance at high revs and thereby deliver an uninterrupted supply of power throughout the rev range. The total torque generated exceeds 900 Nm.
